Editorial policy

1. Official sources first

A rule, fee, threshold, document requirement or processing step is published on this site only when it can be traced to an official source. In order of precedence, those sources are:

1. The legal instrument. Federal decree-laws, Cabinet resolutions, ministerial and authority decisions, as published on the UAE legislation portal or by the ministry that issued them.
2. The issuing authority’s own service page. The service card or guide published by the authority that actually processes the application: ICP, GDRFA Dubai, MOHRE, the Federal Tax Authority, the Ministry of Economy and Tourism, DET, ADDED, SEDD, the Dubai Land Department, or the free zone authority concerned.
3. The UAE Government portal (u.ae). Treated as official, but where it differs from the issuing authority’s page, the issuing authority prevails and the difference is shown.
4. Authority FAQs, news releases and official social channels. Used to confirm that a change has been announced and to date it.

Consultancy websites, news articles, forums and social media are not sources for a rule. They may prompt us to re-check an official page, and nothing more. Where a claim circulates widely but no official page supports it, the page says so.

2. Dated review stamps

Every regulated page shows a Last reviewed date and its review cycle, and every source it cites shows the date that page was checked. The review date means a person compared the content against the cited official pages on that day. It does not mean the rule changed on that day.

Review cycles are 30 days for pages that carry fees, thresholds, deposits or fines; 60 days for process and document pages; 90 days for definitions and structural explainers. An official announcement triggers a re-review regardless of the cycle. The mechanics are described on the fact-checking and regulatory review page.

Publication dates are real. We do not backdate pages to make them look established, and we do not change a publication date when we make a routine edit.

3. Plain “not stated” language

When an official page does not give a figure, the page on this site says “not stated” rather than supplying an estimate. This applies in particular to processing times, which few authorities publish as commitments, and to fees that vary by emirate or channel. If a figure comes from practice rather than a published rule, it is labelled as such.

Where two official pages give different figures, both are shown, each attributed and dated, with a note on which applies to which channel or emirate. We do not pick the more attractive number.

4. What we never publish

• Statistics, success rates, approval percentages or processing-time averages that we did not measure and cannot cite.
• Testimonials, ratings, review counts, awards or accreditations that cannot be verified.
• Named consultants, team photographs or credentials without the person’s consent and evidence of the credential.
• Guarantees or promises of approval in any form, including phrases such as “assured”, “100%” or “no risk”.
• Professional service fees or quotes. Only official government and authority fees appear, cited to the page they come from.
• Anything that describes this platform as a law firm or a provider of legal representation, or that implies a government role or affiliation.
• Content copied from another website, whether text, design or imagery.

5. No sponsored content

No page on this site is paid for by a third party. There are no sponsored articles, paid placements or affiliate links. Free zones, banks, service providers and other organisations do not pay to be mentioned, and being mentioned is not an endorsement.

Where the operator holds a partner, channel or referral relationship with an organisation that a page discusses, the page says so on that page. Editorial content is not altered for such a relationship, and the comparison pages continue to state the conditions each organisation publishes.

6. AI-assisted drafting, human review

We want to be specific about how these pages are produced. Drafts of most pages are prepared with the help of AI writing tools. The tools work from our research notes and from the official pages listed on each page; they are used to structure, draft and tighten text, and to keep terminology consistent across the site.

AI tools are not used to supply facts from memory, to generate figures, to write testimonials or to fabricate sources. A draft that contains a claim without a traceable official source is not published until the claim is either sourced or removed.

No regulated page is published until a person has checked each fact against the cited source, read the page for tone and accuracy, and approved it. The review date on the page is the date of that human check. The same standard applies to updates. If we ever publish a page that has not gone through this review, that is a breach of this policy and we will correct it under section 7.

7. Corrections

If you believe something on this site is wrong, out of date or misleading, email info@immigration-uae.com with the page address, what you think is wrong and, if you have it, the official source that supports the correction.

We acknowledge the report, check the cited official pages, and either correct the page or explain why we believe the current text is accurate. A correction updates the review date. Where a correction changes the answer a page gives, the page carries a short note describing what changed and when. We do not publish the names of people who report errors.

8. Independence and commercial interest

This platform is operated by Cosmos Immigration, a private firm that offers paid immigration and business-setup consultancy. That is a commercial interest and we do not pretend otherwise. The safeguard is this policy: content states the published conditions whether or not they favour engaging a consultant, tells you when a route is not realistic, and points you to the official channel where you can apply yourself.
